We take part in a range of sports activities including; Bowls, Nu-Age Kurling, Golf, Table Tennis, Badminton, Gymnastics/Athletics, Short Tennis, Volleyball/Basketball, Football and Cricket.

Bowls

Bowls
A great competitive sport where everyone can take part. We have our own indoor bowls mat which everyone loves playing on - especially those who are not fond of the 'contact sports' on offer. Hopefully we'll soon get access to the facilities at Overton later this year where we can take part in 'inter-area' festivals and tournamnents.

Nu-Age Curling
A new version of the old Scots game of curling - without the ice! This is really exciting sport which is great again for those who cannot participate in the more adventurous sports. Watch out, National Championships - here we come!

Nu-Age Curling
Golf

Golf
Golf is becoming so popular nowadays and was featured for the first time in the 2001 Special Olympics. We are members of the Scotland West Special Olympics Golf Society where our first-class golfers compete in the National Championships. It's all about the ABILITY - not disability!

Table Tennis
We've got a cracking new Championship Standard table in the club. We'll be getting coaches and tournaments set up shortly. Sound like fun? Then come along - the worst you can do is lose!

Table Tennis

Gymnastics/Athletics

Gymnastics/Athletics
Keep fit and in great shape with our own Kerry Cameron coaching fab gymnastics and athletics programmes. She's brilliant - she will make you feel great - it's the best training - even for all or our budding footballers.

Cricket
Fast becoming another favourite for girls as well as boys and no - it's not boring. You are constantly on your toes when playing at our club. Our coach from the East Kilbride Cricket Club helps us to understand the game while playing it! Howszat for something different?!
Cricket

Volleyball/Basketball

Craig Nisbett is a definite favourite with the members and committee alike. He recently took a volleyball team to the Czech republic where they won gold medals in the European Unified Competition. He's also super at basketball! What a guy!

Short Tennis

This classic racket game is played indoors and coached by Nicola Kerr from South Lanarkshire Youth Disability Sport. Also we can go to Calderglen Country Park for some special outdoor tennis. Great stuff!

Badminton

With a little help from our qualified coaches - you too can become an amazing badminton player! This sport is great for everyone. Go on - you know that you want to!

Football

We have a regular football frenzy at the EKYDSC. We have the place - we have the coaches - all you have to do is HAVE FUN!
